Dream Acres Flash Dancer

DOB: 2-13-1999

Dream Acres Flash Dancer (Dancy)Dancy's Udder
Show Record

3 x 2nd
1 x RGCH

We attended quite a few shows in 2005, and discovered some interesting things about Dancy and her offspring: Dancy has never placed lower than second in her age class. Her 2004 daughter, Carmen (as a first freshener), never placed lower than second, even when competing in AOP classes against Saanens. Her 2005 daughter, Odette, has a reserve grand champion junior to her credit. And Carmen's daughter (Dancy's granddaughter), Lizzie, never placed lower than second in 2005, even though she has often been one of the youngest in the class--in fact, she placed second in a class of 8 goats, including 4 Saanens! Now that is consistency--and exactly what we're breeding for!

Dancy had a wonderful personality, and it was all natural since she was dam raised. She loved everyone and would even go up to strangers, wanting them to pet her. Although her teats were short, she was not difficult to milk because her udder had a very nice texture, and was one of our two best milk goats here at Antiquity Oaks, milking 4 and a 1/2 pounds a day at her peak. Dancy will be sorely missed.

DOB: 3-19-2002

AGS (D-19000)

Prairie Oak Fannie Mae - Fannie
Three year old (dry)
Show Record
1 x 2nd (dry)

Fannie was a first freshener in 2003 with buck/doe twins. In 2004, she freshened with quads (three bucks, one doe)! We have retained one of her daughters, Antiquity Oaks Coco Chanel. Coco has already earned the first leg of her championship status as a dry yearling.

Sugar Creek's FF Rosewood

DOB: 12-10-2002

DHIR: 1.03-61-83-7(8.4%)-3(3.6%)

Rosewood

Rosewood is a beautiful red and black doe. Her color is, to put it in a word, striking. This is a wonderful candid photo of her, though we will be taking a better picture soon. Rosewood kidded with buck/doe twins on December 13, 2004. The doeling is retained and the buckling (red!) will be wethered.

Rosewood is a linebreeding on Gay-Mor's RA Kingwood +*S. Genetics-wise, Kingwood is like her father because 50% of her genes are from him. He is an amazing sire, having thrown seven MCH offspring, and is especially good for throwing smoothly-blended foreudders. His dam (donating 25% of Rosewood's genes), ARMCH Goodwood Trillium *D, was the 1997 AGS National Champion, as well as being a top 10 Milker. She won nine Best Udder awards and classified 93.9 (AGS) and 92.8 (HES).

Kingwood's sire, Stonewall's Raising Arizona +S, is the sire of ARMCH Gay-Mor's RA Mayfly 4*D AR1610, Gay-Mor's RA Midge 4*D, MCH Gay-Mor RA Night Owl 2*D, and countless other outstanding does. Arizona was one of sextuplets (!!) and his dam (Goodwood Penny Lane) has a fifth generation milk star. Arizona was 2xGCHj, 1xGCH and 2xRGCH and earned an Excellent classification score. We were very excited to be able to add this doe to our herd!

Antiquity Oaks Eve

DOB: 3-4-2003

AGS (D-21704)

Show Record

2 x GCH

Eve is an incredibly good example of how much a doe can change from her first freshening to her second. Not only did she gain capacity, but also width and depth to the point that she walked away from her second show with two GCH wins! She was especially complimented on the correctness of her mammary system, high and sharp withers, and dairy character.

Eve's teats are shorter than we like, but in 2005 we were able to milk her by hand. We retained her doe, Esther, and look forward to what she will be doing in the show ring and the milk pail in 2006.
