When someone emails and says they are looking for a family milker, we often recommend a doe out of Sherri. We have kept three of her daughters for ourselves, and we have never been disappointed. She has always had triplets, except for her fifth freshening when she gave us quad does! And it's just gravy that she always throws the most colorful kids.

Sherri came to live at Antiquity Oaks as a first freshener in April 2004. We love her personality -- she is one of those goats you can milk anyplace, anytime, with or without a milk stand, and she won't give you any grief about it. She does not do well in the show ring, but is perfect as a family milker - and so far, her daughters have been outstanding as well! AO Shirley Jackson 4*D earned her one-day milk star as a first freshener, milking 2.9 pounds at 6.0% butterfat at only 25 days fresh.

As a third freshener, Sherri surprised us by milking more than four pounds when, as a second freshener, she'd only been milking three pounds. As a fourth freshener, she kept up the production, giving 4.0 pounds at 15 days fresh, and 3.9 pounds at 42 days. As we expected, she earned her AR star with no trouble!
